I am a CHA Level 1 Western Riding Instructor and CHA Member. I Love horses and I Love caring for and riding horses. It is my pleasure to give riding lessons and teach what I know. I offer an array of Equine Services. Please take a look below for services and rates. I grew up on a farm in the mountains of WV, riding ponies and horses. I have 40 yrs. experience manuevering around horses, caring for horses and riding horses, mostly for pleasure. I have worked many horse related jobs from Wrangler to Barn Manager, Foal sitter and Assistant trainer, I'm a Professional Stall Mucker!! I love a neat tidy barn. Safety is very important and comes first around the barn and horses. I have earned along with my CHA Riding Instructor Certificate, Certificates in Equine Nutrition, Sustainable Agricultural Land Management, Animal Behaviour and Welfare, Introduction to Basic Care and Management of Horses and Clincal Psychology of Children and Young People. I am working all the time to better educate myself in horses, care of horses, riding horses, teaching adults and children to ride horses and how to care for horses and I am always perfecting my craft. I'm a patient, easy going person. I am great for beginners or riders who have lost there confidence. Give me a chance to introduce you to the wonderful world of Equine. Don't own a horse? I will help you find your first horse, one that is suitable for you. I can show you how to take care of your new horse and your horses new home or if boarding at a facility I can help you choose one to benefit your horses needs and your own needs.
Certified Equine riding helmets are manditory for my riding lessons.
Rates:
Lesson Fee: $35.00 an hour plus 56 cents a mile, on your horse at your place.
Private lesson Fee $45.00 an hour, on my horse at my place.
Grooming Fee: $10.00 a horse, regular grooming.
$20.00 a horse for Show Grooming
Farm Sitting Fee: $35.00 a day. Plus 56 cents a mile round trip if farther then 15 miles from my home.
$50.00 a day to stay on the farm while your gone.
Stall Cleaning: $5.00 a stall, includes removal of Manure and Urine, dumping/refilling and scrubbing water buckets. Replace bedding removed with fresh bedding.
$10.00 Strip and sanitize a stall , scrub and sanitize water bucket and feeder, fresh bedding.
Quarantined Stalls: $20.00 a stall, completly stripped and bedding disposed of, sanitized stall walls,water/feeding buckets and rebedding. Guaranteed no contamination.
Caring for Quarantined Horses, stalls : 50.00 a day per horse. Guaranteed no contamination to the other horses and stalls. Includes hand walking horse.
Run In Shed $6.00 for a small/med. Run in shed.
Cleaning: $12.00 for Large Run in Sheds.
Paddock Cleaning: $7.00 small/med. paddocks
$14.00 Large Paddocks
Turn in/out, Feed: $2.00 a horse per instance.
Blanket on/off: $1.00 a horse per instance
Wraps on/off: $1.00 a horse per instance
Tack cleaning: $20.00 Bridle and Saddle, no pads.
Exercising your
Horse: $30.00 an hour to ride
$15.00 an hour to hand walk
Bloodstock Agent Fee: TBD, according to where you live, how far I will be traveling and for how many days.
